OUR TRAINING FLEET

At Aeronav Academy we are proud to offer one of the most modern training fleets available in the country. Our aircraft have specifically been chosen so that we may provide the most efficient and cost effective training available from PPL right up to ATPL level.

Our primary training fleet consists of two brand new Diamond DA20 eclipses. Although the DA20 may have many similarities to the older generation of training aircraft its composite construction and tapered wingtips significantly increase performance giving it a higher cruise speed and rate of climb than most other trainers. The bubble canopy, comfortable seating position and centre stick control provides the pilot with excellent visibility and makes flying and training on the DA20 and natural and enjoyable experience. We also offer the more complex Cessna 182 & 182RG for advanced training such as instrument ratings and commercial pilot licenses. The 182’s proven reliability and performance make it the ideal stepping stone between the basic aircraft you begin training on and the more advanced and demanding aircraft you may wish to fly in future.

The pride of our fleet is the Diamond DA42 Twin Star. Its simplicity of operation, stability, safe handling characteristics and economy make it an excellent aircraft more than capable of meeting your multi-engine training needs. The DA42’s sophisticated avionics, airframe design & engine technology qualify it as a “technically advanced aircraft” giving the pilot airline type technology in a light training aircraft. The Diamond DA42 is equipped with a Garmin G1000 EFIS (Electronic Flight Information System) which puts a wealth of flight-critical data at your finger tips. Its glass flightdeck displays instrumentation, navigation, weather, terrain and engine data on a large-format, high resolution display bringing new levels of situational awareness, simplicity and safety to the cockpit. The DA42 is designed for pilots who truly want to go places safely and in style.
