THE PRIVATE PILOTS LICENCE
What is involved and how to get started
The Private Pilot Licence can either be the first step of your career ladder or your key for hours of recreational fun.
In order to experience the sensations of flying in a light aircraft and to help you decide that you want to fly, you will firstly book an ‘Introductory Flight’ with an instructor. You will be given an opportunity to take over the controls and get a feel for the aircraft.
If you decide that this is for you, you will need to purchase a PPL kit which contains all the books and accessories you will need during your training. Once the paper work is done all you need do is book your first lesson at a time suitable to you.
Before each lesson your instructor will brief you on the theory and aerodynamics of the flight excercise that you are about to undertake and after the flight you will have an opportunity to discuss how the lesson progressed and what to prepare for your next lesson.
There is no time limit in which you must complete your PPL, you may take as long as you like or you may join us on a ‘full time’ basis. In the event you wish to train on a full time basis we will plan your training so as to complete your training within your specific time frame. Please note that it is IMPOSSIBLE to give you a time frame in which to get your licence as each student is different and some will find learning to fly easier than others
